This was such a fun session to shoot. Jessica and Jeremy had booked me for this session months ago because they wanted to do a couples session when they were visiting Nashville on vacation. About a week before the shoot Jeremy contacted me privately and let me know that the portrait/couples session was going to be extra special because he was planning to propose to Jessica while in Nashville and wanted to do it during the session (awe!!!!).
We started the session at Ellington Agricultural Center which is one location I absolutely love shooting. Jessica wanted a mix of country and city in the session and Ellington definitely provided a ‘country’ feel with its horse stables and rustic cabins. After shooting at Ellington Agricultural Center we drove to downtown Nashville to shoot at the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. Before shooting on the pedestrian bridge we stopped with a beautiful view of the Nashville city skyline. I always instruct couples on posing and for this particular shot after directing a couple poses I said ‘now Jeremy for this shot get down on one knee’. Jeremy did and asked Jessica to marry him and of course Jessica said YES!! Jessica was 100% surprised and Jeremy pulled of a very special and romantic Nashville proposal. After that it was off to the bridge for some engagement photos and to soak up some stunning golden hour light.
Congratulations to this sweet couple!!
